CATHY BRADY – REGISTERED
MASSAGE THERAPIST
Cathy Brady is a registered massage therapist and is
trained in Swedish massage and Masso-kinesitherapy
which allows her to give both relaxation and
therapeutic massages. She has been working with the
Isaiah 40 Foundation for 8 years and also practiced
massage therapy at a physio. clinic for 2 years.
Cathy works out of a quiet room, with adjacent
bathroom facilities, on the second floor in the
Friendly Home in N.D.G., Montreal, Quebec.
At the Friendly Home, headquarters of the Isaiah 40
Foundation, a safe, professional atmosphere is
provided, along with the opportunity for prayer if
so desired. While Cathy's clients often come for
stress reduction, relief of physical symptoms, and
"maintenance", some of her clients have been
recovering from eating disorders, depression,
physical and/or sexual abuse and self-image
problems. Massage therapy often helps people get in
touch with and accept their bodies again after
having detached from (or even hated) them. Also,
people who have been abused, physically or sexually,
learn to receive and enjoy healthy and
non-exploitive touch in a safe environment. Some
people are receiving counseling and massage therapy
and take their appointments back to back. This has
been found to be a very helpful and holistic
approach to their healing.
Cathy is registered with the F.Q.M. and issues
receipts for insurance purposes. Sessions are
usually one hour, with a little more time added for
the first appointment. Fees are $55.00 per session
and $220.00 for a package of five massages. Cathy is
available on Tuesdays (day and evening), Wednesdays
(afternoon and evening) and Thursdays (day only).
To make an appointment or if you have any questions
call 514-583-4064 and Cathy will get back to
you as soon as possible.
