The Isaiah 40 Foundation holds to the
following essential doctrine:
We believe in one God, existing eternally in three
persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that our Lord Christ is fully man and
fully God, the only begotten Son of the Father; that
He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered, was crucified, died and was
buried, and was raised physically from the dead. He
ascended to the right hand of the Father and will
come again in power and glory to judge the living
and the dead.
We believe that our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,
through His incarnation, sacrificial death, glorious
resurrection and sending the Holy Spirit, has broken
the power of sin and death and restores us to
communion with the Father, enabling us to live
joyfully in the power of His risen life together
with the whole body of Christian believers.
We believe that the Church, the Body of Jesus
Christ, is formed of all those who know Him as their Saviour and Lord, who are grafted into that Body
through Baptism by water and the Holy Spirit and
nourished through the Eucharist and the Proclamation
of the Word.
We believe that through the indwelling of the Holy
Spirit our whole person - body, soul and spirit - is
opened to the healing and transforming new life in
Christ.
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New
Testaments are the inspired word of God to be used
for the formulation of doctrine and reproof,
correction and instruction in right living, so that
everyone may be capable of demonstrating a
victorious and joyful Christian witness.
We believe that the Eternal Life promised to us in
the Scriptures commences when we are incorporated
into Christ, and reaches its completion in the
resurrection, when renewed totally in body, soul and
spirit we enter fully into our inheritance as
children of God.
